Kevin Chrisanthopoulos, a trial attorney whose Westfield firm, KC Law, specializes in personal injury, medical malpractice, and business and civil litigation, has been selected to the Joint Bar Committee on Judicial Appointments (JBC). Massachusetts Bar Association President, Christopher A. Kenney, selected Attorney Chrisanthopoulos to the distinctive entity following a nomination by the Hampden County Bar Association.One of the last layers of review in the judicial nominating process, JBC is comprised of two dozen attorneys from across the state and works to ensure that candidates for tenure positions are both qualified and competent. The independent and nonpartisan committee reviews, evaluates, votes and reports on the qualifications of those under consideration for all judicial appointments to all commonwealth courts. After examining several aspects of an individual, from knowledge and ability to integrity and temperament, JBC submits its vote to the governor and/or the governor’s council for approval and appointment.Attorney Chrisanthopoulos’ selection to JBC marked the latest in his well-deserved achievements, including appointment to the Board of Bar Overseers BBO Disciplinary Hearing Committee (2012–2018) and selection to the Massachusetts Super Lawyers list for five consecutive years (2014–present).
